How to Find Us

The practice is conveniently located on O'Malley Street in Osborne Park. It is situated on the 1st floor and the entrance is extensively signed. Carparks labelled SP/OT are reserved for our clients to provide easy parking.

Payment

There is a fee for the assessment which includes 2 copies of the report. We have an EFTPOS machine onsite.

With our extensive experience we offer evidence based interventions that are tailored to the unique needs of our clients. And we are dedicated to supporting the specific needs of each client and their families.

Homework

This is optional, however we do encourage 10 mins per day, repetition is what helps memory. The quicker a child can consolidate information the easier it all becomes and we have a happier child.

Teamwork

We conveniently share the practice with speech pathologists because an integrated approach is

Most beneficial to successful outcomes as we found that at least 0-60% of children will require both services at some point. Should this arise we always encourage parents to use the services so that you make 1 convenient trip. However whilst we encourage parents to use these services there appropriate you are of course at liberty to source a speech pathologist independently.

Common Questions / FAQs

Assessment: it is important to always start with an assessment to identify underlying issues. It is also a policy to review the child toward cessation of therapy because we also like to see what progress the child has made and where to next?

Why do we recommend 16 weeks (approx...) therapy?

Evidence-based research indicates that in order to bring about change and particularly when dealing with working memory then it takes 15 sessions minimum to be effective. It is important to know that consideration of new skills is important. E.g. if you learn to rise a bike but hen don't practice you will quickly lose most of that newly acquired skill.
